Snug them just enough so you can slide/adjust them while hanging the windshield. Loosen the rod clamps on the windshield enough to manipulate them into place then insert the rod ends back into the handlebar clamps. Final step is to make the necessary adjustments up/down/side to side and tighten everything up. Note, aligning the 'hook' end of the rods in the windshield clamps vertically vice horizontal allows additional up/down windshield fine tuning adjustments. Required tools: Allen wrench set; both 1/2''&12mm open end wrenches. Optional: Adjustable channel lock pliers help compress the clamps if you use the provided inserts for smaller diameter handlebars (makes it easier to start the bolts)
