How can we find spiritual and emotional well-being as we recover from alcoholism or any addiction?What are some easy-to-implement practices we can do on a daily basis to realize the wellness we already possess but seems to be blocked?This book brings to light a path out of alcoholism or addiction and into a greater spiritual well-being. It contains real world practices and reflections at the end of each chapter that anyone can implement in their own life. This book is not religious. It is spiritual. There is a difference. I am perhaps not qualified to write about a person's soul or afterlife. I'm certainly not qualified to define anyone's idea of God, Deity, or whatever Power they may choose to believe in - or not believe in.This book is about this life. The one we're living here and now. How can we find peace, happiness, contentment, or joy in this moment - without returning to the bottle, a pill, food, harmful relationships, or any of the other activities we may try to use to escape discomfort, discontentedness, boredom, worry, anger, etc?So many of us are faced with addictions of varying types. We can find ourselves leaning on external sources to fix something inside - a sense of void that we feel needs to be filled with "something".When we remove the thing we used to fill the void, what then? The emptiness is still there and we might feel a sort of spiritual or emotional ache...something is missing. The feeling becomes too uncomfortable again and we go right back to the same, or some new, self-destructive behavior.I've done all of the above. I don't have to try to escape from myself anymore. There is a way to be at peace in every moment. I would like to share some of what I've learned on my path, what has been shared with me, and what I've discovered so that just a little more discomfort can be removed from the world today.I hope this book can help you or someone you know live a little easier.
